Retro Bazaar is 15 years old on the 10th January.
During these years we have been through highs and lows including recession, credit crunch, van theft, lockdown, three websites and four workshops but we’re still here.
We have made lots of amazing memories, from our first show in Wilmslow, March 2010, when the van broke down and we had to go back to Liverpool and pile what we could into my sisters Ford Fiesta to the amazing Goodwood vintage festival (which has never been surpassed) and the Bethnal Green furniture flea at York Hall when the boxing ring was still up!

In our 15 years we have travelled all over the country to sell our wares from the Edinburgh Fringe in the North, to the Great Estate Festival Cornwall in the South, Dreamland Margate in the East & Chester Racecourse in the West. Most of these miles have been covered in our trusty vans Ruby van Rouge & Boris van Bleu – plus a few rentals when Boris went on his enforced holiday with the villains & police.
We have changed a lot over the years and so has our stock from how we started to what we sell now but one thing is constant we still LOVE working for ourselves and being weird and wonderful – I’m Retro (Glynis) & Becky is Bazaar which sums us up.
Here’s to another 15 years when we will be selling little pieces of Jewellery cos that’s all we will be able to carry!
